Bert Bremner

I was brought up in a superb Tuckswood council house, with wonderful schools, and a lovely place to grow up. Those homes and thousands like them were built by a series of Labour councils and they changed lives. This Labour council is building more council homes, and even more importantly is bringing all our 15,000 council homes we have left up to modern, energy standards, with efficient energy saving boilers, insulation, double glazed windows, new doors along with up to date kitchens and bathrooms. Those older homes without cavity walls and steel houses are having cladding installed that are making them look the best houses in the street, and they are amazingly energy efficient. Labour will also keep cracking down on rogue landlords, and come up with ideas for on energy saving and carbon reduction for all in the City, and beyond. The council’s recycling rates for household waste are among the best in the country, and we lead the way with cooperative energy switching to help open the energy markets to the smaller companies and break the monopoly of the Big Six, and many residents have saved on their energy bills. We are again leading the way with our ground breaking new solar panel scheme. We believe in equality and fairness and live up to our motto "Always listening, always helping, always caring - All year round, not just at Election time!" I will work hard, with all the Norwich Labour Team, the University Ward Labour Team, and our new Labour MP Clive Lewis, to fight to get the best deal for Norwich, and University ward.

I assume from the fact that you have complained about the ‘illegal’ Leave campaign posters, that you are pro-Remain? It’s a shame you haven’t complained about the plethora of adverts for assorted raves, dodgy jobs and hot tubs which adorn practically every vertical structure in the county!! Typical self-serving politician.
