Vivien Thomas

As a local community campaigner I was pleased to be elected in May as one of the Labour City Councillors for Mile Cross. My priority is to keep campaigning for all the people of Mile Cross, all year round.

I know that Mile Cross is a great place to live, but issues like traffic speed, poor quality private rented accommodation and community safety all remain key priorities for local people. When we’ve worked together and campaigned together this community has really benefited. Whether through getting investment in our local parks and green spaces, traffic calming or investment in the Norman Centre and new council housing, your Labour team work hard throughout the year.

Over the last 5 years of Tory led government, we have seen our valued public services being cut which has affected some of the most vulnerable in our community.  I know from talking to residents that people do value our community in Mile Cross and want to see positive improvements and changes. Working together we will continue fighting hard for you.
