Norwich Labour Party campaigns all year round, not just at election time. We knock on doors to listen to residents views and see if they require any assistance from their local Labour representatives. Delivering leaflets is another important way of getting our message and local updates out directly to residents; signing up for a small leaflet round in your local area is a quick and easy way you can support our campaigning.

We also run and support campaigns on important issues that matter to local people. In recent years, these have included the campaign to save Norfolk’s children’s centres (Norfolk Tories were planning to close the majority of centres in the county), save community pharmacies and defend local NHS services. As well as door-knocking and leafleting, these campaigns have involved stalls, petitions, demonstrations and more.

Doorstep canvassing wasn’t possible during lockdown, but wards are now out regularly with appropriate safety and social distancing measures at all times. The reception from residents has been positive. To find out more about canvassing and find a session you can join, visit here. Or contact Rachel Pallett, Norfolk County Organiser at rachel_pallett@labour.org.uk

The next round of local elections take place on Thursday 4th May 2023, when voting takes place for Norwich City Council and also Broadland and South Norfolk District Councils. There’s no better time to get involved. Fill in the volunteer form below and someone will be in touch.
