SIGN OUR PETITION HERE:

Having amassed a budget gap of over £60 million County Hall Conservatives are intending cuts to vital services to residents.

Norfolk County Cabinet agreed proposals to cut waste service budgets next year by reducing opening times for Norfolk’s recycling centres

In April 2022 the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs stated that Household Waste Recycling Centres “…need to be accessible to all residents – both in when they are available, and by not charging fees some may be unable to afford.”

Continuing to charge residents to dispose of DIY waste and reducing the opening hours of our recycling centres creates a perfect storm that will further increase fly tipping and reduce recycling across our beautiful County.

We therefore call for –

1) Norfolk Councils to coordinate to ensure every part of Norfolk is cracking down on flytipping

2) All Norfolk County Councillors to oppose any cuts to waste recycling opening times

3) DIY charges to be scrapped at all Norfolk recycling centres
