Labour motion in support of drag queen storytime events passes unanimously

A motion proposed by Cllr Mike Stonard, and seconded by Cllr Jake Huntley, was passed unanimously by Norwich City Council at Tuesday’s full council meeting.

This motion was put forward after demonstrators recently targeted Auntie Titania’s Storytime at Norwich Millennium Library. It reaffirms our support for this as a positive, inclusive and educational event which we hope can be repeated in the future – and condemns the prejudice and hatred behind the protests against it.
